Post and Calvary was introduced in 1986.
The scarf centers around the Saberteche replaced a pocket that was generally missing from uniforms during the 18th century.
Hence the flat bag was worn suspended attached to the belt that held a soldiers saber. 
Some Sabertaches were heavily embroidered with crest, and all of those by Metz date back to to the Sunking, Louis XIV. 
The extensive collection of art and artifacts from the personal collection of Émile Hermès were an inspiration for many of the vintage Hermes scarves.
