Hermes Beaded Scarf Planche d’Etude pour une Parure

Florence Manlik drew inspiration from the working drawings traditionally used by fine jewelers to create Planche d’Etude pour une Parure.
Her composition reveals the extraordinary detail of Pierre Hardy’s jewelry designs, from individual gemstones and their settings to sculptural gold links.
Furthermore, elements of the designer’s working process remain visible within the artwork, giving the impression of magnificent jewels taking shape before the eye.

Pierre Hardy Fine Jewelry and Iconic Hermes Carrés

The jewelry depicted draws from several important sources within the Hermes universe, particularly its equestrian heritage and legendary silk designs.
The creations take their names from three celebrated Hermes classics: Brides de Gala, Della Cavalleria and Grand Apparat.
Necklaces, tiaras, earrings and bracelets appear throughout the composition, arranged almost as though the precious pieces had been placed directly onto a square of silk.
As a result, the carré creates a fascinating dialogue between Hermes fine jewelry and the House’s celebrated scarf tradition.

Rare Limited Edition Hermes Beaded Scarf

The intricate beading makes this rare limited edition particularly exceptional.
The embellishment highlights the jewelry motifs and creates a jewel-like surface that catches the light beautifully.
Consequently, the beads reinforce the very subject of the design, transforming illustrations of precious jewelry into a richly dimensional textile.
In addition, hand-rolled edges provide the classic finishing touch.
Made in India.
